The Hex Linx Kit from 4DCB
We’ve got round buttons, square buttons, rectangle buttons, and even a lightning bolt button on the horizon, but now we have a unique setup from 4DCB that allows you to rock a hexagon button, the Hex Linx Kit. This is a fresh and awesome look!
I mentioned 4DCB last week, but they are the maker of the Linx Panels and Inners. They started out as a stabilized wood supplier and evolved into a full-fledged woodworking shop and now they make a line of Billet Box inner and panels under the name Linx. They now offer these unique panels and inners allowing you to use their hexagon buttons. Not only is the fire button hex-shaped, the wattage buttons and even the window for the display are hex shaped.
They have put together a few sets and colors so far and they’re all looking fresh! The only drawback is that there aren’t more options… yet. You’ll have to keep an eye on the 4DCB Facebook group to get your hands on a Hex Linx Kit and you will have to get in line behind me! These are in high demand and I am pretty sure that the availability is quite limited.
The kits that have been offered in the group so far include:
- Linx Base
- Hex Top link
- 2 Hex Fire Buttons
- 2 Hex wattage buttons
- Hex Linx Panels
The hex top link attaches to the base inner via 2 magnets which will allow you to interchange parts. According to Mike in a live stream, the bases are backward compatible with other Linx bases he has previously produced.
From what I understand, this innovative idea was conceived from an idea from a member of the Billet Box Community, Mitch Kondo late last year. Mike from 4DCB put that idea into reality and we have another great looking way to customize our Billet Boxes. I love seeing innovation from these awesome modders!
I have never had a set of Linx panels or inners, but everyone I have talked with loves them and the styles are great looking. Well done Mike!
