BBV is Back – 1st Drop of 2021
Back on December 31st, 2020, Billet Box Vapor released a few limited release models, the Chameleon and Blanca. These were engraved with a dumpster fire instead of the year. These were the 1st of the Rev 4c models and the start of the Cerakote colors for Billet Box Vapor. Things didn’t work out for a few weeks after that, but now they are starting to get some stock out. On January 23rd, 2021, BBV finally had its 1st drop of 2021.
The colors were all interesting. They had some more Chameleon and Blanca models as well as a couple new colors, Smokeshow and Almost RPG.
The Smokeshow color is a slightly blueish-grey metallic Cerakote finish. I believe this color will be a staple in the future color lineup. The logo and year are black with a white outline. I believe these logos are laser engraved just like the dumpster fire etching on my Blanca.
The Almost RPG, I believe will be a one-off type since it’s an early formula of the RPG. Others will most likely be the same. I ordered one of these for myself. I might keep it in the box. Here’s what DD had to say about this color, “In the past few months, I’ve literally tested hundreds of Cerakote mixes… i haven’t got RPG dialed yet… this attempt is soooooo close, but it is just a bit too purple, and a bit too flashy… “.
If you take a close look at the featured image, all the models have a slight color variation in the stock photos. The 2 Smokeshow models and the 2 Chameleons each have a slightly different color. I guess this might end up being like the anodized models where some are a little different.

On another subject, I have a couple things on the way, the Monarchy MOBB RBA and hopefully the Billet Box Vapor RPM adapter that they didn’t get out to me with the Blanca, we shall see!
