What’s the Best Billet Box RBA Bridge?
What is the Best Billet Box RBA? The answer is… none. Seriously though, this is a very subjective question that requires several qualifiers to answer. What is the best RBA for me, might not be for you. The main factors can be determined by knowing what you are after, flavor, clouds, DL vaping, MTL vaping, etc.
In this article, I will list some of the main RBA bridges available today. I will go over what my favorites are and why, and I will share some input from other Billet Box owners as well.
RBA Bridge List
Here’s a partial list of RBAs available today. There are many others that are not listed, I am only including the more modern, well known RBA Bridges.
- Wick’d Bridg’d
- Haku Xeta
- Atmizoo VapeSnail
- Atmizoo VapeShell
- Ground Cloud Innovation Heir
- Steam Tuners Insider
- Mission XV KRMA Bridge
- Odis Design Boxxer V2
- SVT Crossbow
- Hellfire Exocet
Like I said, this is just a partial list of some of the more modern and most popular RBA bridges out there. For a more complete list, check out our Billet Box Bridge List. Depending on when you read this article, there might be others on the market as well. At the time of writing this, the Exocet v2 from Hellfire, the Bridg’d V1.2, and something from Mission XV are all on the horizon and bound to change the game up some.

My favorite Billet Box RBA Bridges are based on my vaping style. I always vape direct lung and sometimes I vape 0.8 to 1.0 ohm coils at 15-20 watts, but most of the time .45 to .6 ohm coils between 20-35 watts. I also want to mention that I don’t chase clouds, I chase flavor. If clouds come up too, win/win.
That said, my opinion of the Best Billet Box RBA Bridge is:
- Wick’d Bridg’d
- Haku Xeta
- Atmizoo VapeSnail
- Ground Cloud Innovation Heir
- Steam Tuners Insider
The Bridg’d is perfect for my style vaping, gives me great flavor at my coil style and is one of the easiest decks to build on. The Xeta and VapeSnail are 2a and 2b technically, I like the both equally as far as flavor, but the Xeta edges out the VapeSnail for me because of the colors available for the matching and the deck is the easiest to build on in my opinion. Some people don’t like the screws on the Xeta, but I have 5 of them and have never had a problem. The VapeSnail is awesome, but wicking is very finicky. Too much cotton, bad flavor and too little cotton, leaking. If you get the wicking just right, it’s stellar though. The Heir and Insider are about the same to me, both great choices. As far as some of the other popular RBAs out there like the KRMA and Boxxer V2, I haven’t had a chance to try them. They might replace some on my list, but I can only go by what I have tried. I also haven’t tried the Exocet, but hoping to get a hold of the Excocet V2 at some point.

As many say, this is a subjective answer. Every person has a favorite for different reasons.
I prefer two types of vaping. a) MTL 0.8mm airflow 2.0mm coil 1.5ohms 10watts Nic Salts (24-36mg) and b) Restricted Lung 1.8mm airflow (on avg) 2.8-3.0mm coil 0.5ohms 24-30watts (based on flavor) Freebase Nic (3-6mg)
With the exception of how easy it is to use a factory coil & bridge, I will say I do not use those at all…ever. So my opinions are built on rebuildable atomizers. For the purposes of this question, I’ll be attempting to answer from the perspective of a Billet Box virgin. Be gentle.
- Hellfire – Exocet
- Atmizoo – VapeShell
- Atmizoo – VapeSnail
- Odis – Flow v1
- Haku – Xeta
1 & 2: For me, the Hellfire Exocet and Atmizoo VapeShell are the easiest to set up for a total beginner…and they are actually tied for first place, in my mind. The only reason I listed Exocet in first place is because that was my first Billet Box atomizer…at least for my Rev4’s. (I had previously used the Sophia from ByLeo, a legendary rebuildable Cartomizer, but that device can be troublesome and sometimes confusing if it’s not setup juuuuust right). The Exocet and VapeShell are fairly straight forward, and in almost every video I’ve watched for them on YouTube, the builds and wicking have about a 5% difference between users. They perform very well, and the VapeShell has a leg up with the different airflow pins for further fine-tuning…although you can get the Kayfun v5 airflow pins to use in the Exocet. Flavor and wicking both work well on these devices, and I find them both at their best with a 2.8-3.0mm coil. I prefer my Restricted Lung style in these devices.
3: The VapeSnail is an evolution of the VapeShell, and a real game-changer in the Billet Box world. With the introduction of the 2nd Generation gaskets, this device really knocks it out of the park for me. Great flavor, great vapor, no leaks, very low condensation. For a beginner, the build is about the same as the VapeShell. The device comes in its own tank, and allows real-time access to airflow pins and the build, without draining the tank. This hasn’t been seen since the older Cartomizer days when you could use a device like the Atmistique Battler to push the carto out and still retain all the juice in the tank. I prefer my Restricted Lung style in this device.
4 & 5: Odis Flow v1 and the Haku Xeta both have wicking styles similar to the Exocet…the wick tails stick out of the body of the atomizer. Airflow a-plenty on these two. The first batch, or two, of Odis Flow v1 had some massive fitment issues, which is, unfortunately, par for the course when it comes to Odis. But, you can get it right, the deck is fairly simple, and the device will perform for you. The Xeta was my hope for an MTL vape in a Billet Box for me, but it did not perform for me. I had high hopes, and even though it had plenty of inserts (under the build and at the top of the chimney), I could not find a combo that satisfied my MTL quest. That being said, this one is fairly beginner-friendly as well, as long as the many airflow options are not intimidating. Restricted lung style on both of these devices

My journey into the Rabbit Hole known as Billet actually started with a billet in 2016 but with only Kanger Rba or coils it wasn’t really for me. Then in 2019, I started to look into them again. Unsatisfied with my current setups and wanting something more AIO. Along came 2020 and my second new billet. The search began for the right bridge to suit my style. I like a solid RDL to DL (preferred vape). I vape .42 to .55 around 30-45 watts depending on the bridge. I have not tried everything so this is based on what I have tried.
- Wick’d Bridg’d – Warmest most flavorful bridge so far.
- Ground Kloud Innovation Heir – This is tied for first maybe 1.5
- Mission KRMA bridge When I want a tight RDL.
- Haku Xeta
- Vapeshell
Though many have not tried it the Bridg’d it is a perfect vape easy to build, tons of flavor, but I wish it had a built-in 510 thread. The Heir was previously my favorite easy to build, wicking is key but it also has tons of flavor. The Xeta also was great for a tight DL almost RDL, but I found it to be finicky with wicking and still always need to adjust it when I switch flavors. Very easy to build on as well. Tons of color choices. The KRMA is the only MTL tight RDL bridge I owned great flavor, I found it to be a little tricky to dial in. Since I am a DL vapor and was always looking to pump the watts with this, I would get dry hits and have to bring it back down. I also tried the VapeShell and though it is easy to build, I could never get my flavors to pop on it and sold it rather quickly. I have never given the VapeSnail a chance even though I had it laying around for a month. Again this is my experience with jumping into the billet world of bridges. I am sure there might be something better on the horizon, but so far I think I will keep the Bridg’d and Heirs in constant rotation!

- Wick’d Bridg’d (DL)
- Atmizoo Vapesnail (DL & MTL)
- Mission XV KRMA RBA (MTL)
- Haku Xeta
- Atmizoo Vapeshell
Bridg’d and Vapesnail are the top for me, beating out the Boxxer v2, Xeta, VapeShell and KRMA. KRMA is great for MTL and I mainly use it as a MTL RBA. The Bridg’d has some of the most simple but effective build decks out on the market. The flavour is by far the best I’ve tried. Including the Boxxer which was good but not as good. The snails easily accessible deck and innovation are amazing as well. Everyone tried the shell which was a great RBA don’t get me wrong, but the new and improved VapeSnail has changed boro style devices forever. The easy of use, 10 minute re wicks or build tweaks have spoiled me. The flavour is good but still beaten by the Bridg’d. Really looking forward to the minor changes of the v1.2 dropping soon. The Xeta’s customizability is amazing. I want to love it but in MTL and DL mode just wasn’t as mind-blowing. The post clamp is not my favourite but it could be worst. I’ll have to revisit it in the future and do more thorough testing. Now a Xeta in a Vapesnail style config with easily accessible deck would be awesome.

Hello from the depths of the Rabbit Hole that is The Billet Box. We have many holes down here and that might be why “We Are All Mad Here”, but for this article, I’m going to list MY favorite RBA Bridges for MTL (Mouth to Lung) vaping, which is the only way I vape, in order from the best to the “this isn’t a MTL vape no matter how hard you try”
- Mission XV KRMA – Purely from a MTL and Flavor standpoint, The KRMA wins the top spot. It’s easy to install coils, it’s easy to wick once you get it down and tune it to the liquid you use and it has the most flavorful, saturated Vape of any MTL RBA or Factory coil I have ever had. The many choices of AirFlow discs are nice and the 1.2 is very very tight. It would be hard for a MTL vaper to NOT enjoy the flavor and draw the KRMA provides. Now, it barely makes the #1 slot….due to what my second choice provides.
- Atmizoo VapeSnail – This was hard, putting the snail in 2nd place, because I absolutely love it, but it doesn’t beat the flavor of my top choice. It makes up for that very small loss with the absolute ease of pulling the build deck WITHOUT dumping an entire Boro of liquid, or waiting until you’ve Vaped every last drop no matter how bad it tastes(I’m a dumper and it can be a messy affair) The Snail has so many options from DL all the way down to a 1.0mm Air Flow(for those of us that enjoy sucking a golf ball through a garden hose). Ease of building and wicking cannot be beaten, what you get with the purchase is also a huge +. And the Flavor? Is excellent, Airflow is smooth and…..crap, maybe I should move this to Number 1.
- Bridg’d by Wick’d AKA the Panda – I will say this bridge is made for DL and RDL vapers…all the way. It absolutely shines in those categories. What it will not provide is a nice tight, flavorful MTL vape. The Panda is an Airy bridge, the wicking is finicky and it performs much better with 3mm ID Coil than the 2.4-.5mm ID I prefer as a MTL vaper. The ability to shut down the Panda can currently only be achieved by a 3rd party kit. This is an airy bridge. But my opinion of The Bridg’d is based on V1, V 1.2 is dropping soon and the R&D team at Wick’d might have addressed the MTL capabilities of the Panda with the new version. If so, I might try it again.
The People Have Spoken
We have a few others to share their write-ups and will add them as they come in. If you look around in the various Facebook Groups, you’ll find plenty of threads where this question is asked, here are just a few of them:
Conclusion
So, which is the best Billet Box RBA? The answer is really a moving target, but you can’t really go wrong with any of the RBA Bridges that we’ve discussed here. If you are a direct lung vaper, you can’t go wrong with the Bridg’d, Xeta, VapeSnail, or any of the others. Some, myself included think the Bridg’d is tops for DL, others feel the VapeSnail is. It’s all subjective. I can’t speak to the MTL crowd, but it seems the Mission XV KRMA and VapeSnail are popular. I would also think that the Xeta would suffice for MTL as well, with or without their addon MTL Explorer kit.
