Super Secret Panel Project Panels 1st Impression
I received my 1st after market acrylic panels and these are from SSPP (Super Secret Panel Project).
The Billet Box panel market is an interesting one. You have many companies making panels in various materials with a wide range of prices. Some seem overpriced for what they are and some are super affordable. There are some that have bigger names and followings than others. You can get panels made from stabilized wood, several different types of metal, and acrylic panels like these.
I think I found a maker in SSPP that are both well crafted, well received and collected, and fairly priced. I won’t go into my opinions on the panel market, but I will just say that these are both affordable, well crafted, and beautiful.
To get products from SSPP, you either have to order them from their website or win them in their Facebook group. I was able to score these in a quick strike in their Facebook group for $80 USD and they shipped super fast. The package was sent via USPS in a bubble mailer and the panels were in a plastic pouch inside another bubble package. Much care goes into getting them to the customer without being damaged.
The panels I received are curved panels made to work with the Mission Switch, but they make panels for the stock round buttons as well as square buttons that other inners are made for too. These Super Secret Panel Project panels feel like they will hold up to everyday use just fine. The pattern engraved into the panels gives them a grippy feeling making the Billet Box not so slippery feeling. Time will tell how they hold up, but I don’t have any concerns! As an added bonus, these panels are made in the USA (Texas).
I am over all pleased with this purchase and I am sure it won’t be my last from the Super Secret Panel Project! Oh did I mention that these are are super sexy too? Well done Arlo!
