RJ Mod Billet Box Panels
Since I just scored my 2nd set of RJ Mod panels, I have had a few questions asked of me and I figured I would fill everyone in on these beautiful RJ Mod Billet Box Panels you’ve seen me and others post up in hand checks. I have only attempted to score a set from 2 series, the Dragon series, and the Skeleton series that just came up.
Who is RJ Mod?
RJ Mod is a modder from Korea that makes mods but also creates very limited runs of high end, aluminum Billet Box panels with deep-engraved designs. They typically make a limited run of 10 of each design. They are not cheap, but they are limited, breathtaking, and very detailed.
You might know RJ Mod from the legendary Turtleship mech mod. RJ Mod is legendary himself and has been doing this a long time. A quick look at the Instagram account is like a trip down memory lane.
They rotate between beautiful Persona Mods and Billet Box Panels each week in their Facebook group. I would love to grab a Persona to go in my collection, but I can’t justify it financially with all that I have in Billet Box right now.
How do you get these panels?
You can purchase the panels in their Facebook group via quick strikes, auctions, and randoms drawings. The guy running the show lives in the US, but these are made by the modder in Korea. These are limited and serial numbered out of 10.
The 1st set of panels, serial number 1/10, are the same as the other 9, but they have a brass emblem embedded into the design. The other 9 have copper emblems. The 1st set is typically auctioned off and they’ve gone from $360 to $760 in the auction.
The other 9 panels in the series are awarded in 2 ways, quick strikes and a random. The Skeleton Panels I won today were in a quick strike and the Dragon Panels I won last month were in the random. The price of the other 9 sets is $320 +shipping.

Here is an example of the quick strike wins (above). They go real fast. I missed on the 1st two quick strikes today and was able to score these on the 3rd.

The panels come in a pouch with the following:
- The panels
- Custom 510 drip tip
- Extra magnets
Matching Buttons

Update: Matching buttons are now being offered. You can purchase (optional) a matching button for the panels you own and future panels will have the matching buttons available for purchase as well. The buttons will run $50 USD each. I have purchased the matching buttons for my 2 sets.
What series have dropped already?
Here is a list of the panels that have gone recently.
Maya Panels
The Brass Emblem LE 1/10 version of the Maya panels sold for $760 in the auction.
Mandala Panels
The 1/10 Brass Emblem version of the Mandala panels only auctioned for only $350, quite a bargain if you ask me.
Dragon Panels 龍
The 1/10 Brass Emblem version went for $760 in the auction.
Skeleton Panels
The 1/10 Brass Emblem version sold at auction for $510.
Black Skeleton Panels
This is a new run of 5 that are all black, but have the same design as the previously released Skeleton Panels.
RJ Mod and Wick’d Colab
Not much information about these yet. No info yet on print run, price, or when they will be available. I will update this post when more info is known.
Eagle Panels
The 1/10 Brass Emblem version sold at auction for $420, albeit with a little drama, unfortunately.
Black Eagle Panels
Only 2 sets available. Serial #1 was won by Matthew Young in a raffle. The raffle had 66 entries @ $10 per entry. Serial #2 auctioned off for $500.

Conclusion
These panels are all beautiful works of art and the $320 RRP is quite expensive, but you get what you pay for. If your really think about it, you are putting a work of art on your Billet Box when you get these. There are acrylic, stabwood, and other material panels out there that can cost up to 2/3 the price of these, so it’s really not too bad in my opinion.
